Always a good choice at 3am. Chips and cheese, and all the usual stuff, ect ect.

Another amazing lunch from Pret A Manger! Not really French at all, but so good all the same. This was a very good cheddar and pickle sandwich with a cup of smooth and tasty tomato soup. I normally don’t like tomato soup, but today I decided to be brave and put all my trust in the Pret. It paid off, this was a very simple but very tasty lunch.

My first trip to the famous Pizza Express! While the name sounds like it would be a hole-in-the-wall take-away place, it’s actually a nice sit-down restaurant. I had half of a three-mushroom and ham pizza. The crust was thin and crispy with small charred patches that were a small burst of flavour. The sauce and cheese were thin, which was good because it left the focus on the three types of mushroom and the thin slices of salty ham. The Caesar salad was great, with a smooth and creamy homemade dressing and thin slices of anchovy. A very good pizza dinner right before Comedy of Errors at The Globe.

Instead of eating out, we decided to all go back to Cara’s kitchen and make frozen pizzas. It was a money-saving decision, not one based on taste or adventure. I got this frozen pizza at the local Tesco grocery store for about £1.15 I think. It wasn’t horrible, the chorizo was nice, but the whole thing was a little greasy, and kind of light on the cheese. It was a good deal though, and eating with friends always makes the food taste better.

Mmmmmm, doesn’t that look amazing? We were slightly hungry after our amazing Chinese food experience, so we stopped in at good ol’ Mickey-D’s for a quick snack. It was essentially the same, but without mustard. Apparently, English people don’t like mustard, so it doesn’t come automatically on the burgers. A cheeseburger without mustard is a strange thing.

It’s really hard not to get chips after a night out. The truck is right there…. just calling my name. Robbie and I got the exact same order without even knowing it! Which strange because it’s a fairly complicated and diverse set of toppings, from a menu with endless possibilities. I had chips with salt, vinegar, cheese, chicken, onions, garlic mayonnaise, and chili sauce. I know that all sounds overwhelming, but it tastes amazing. I need to travel to Turkey to get some real food though, they really know what they’re doing with these kebabs and such. Anyway, it’s always a great late night snack.

After a long night of dancing at the O2 Academy, nothing tastes better than chips and cheese with mayonnaise and barbecue sauce. This is for sure not my first chips and cheese with mayonnaise and barbecue, but its the first one that I remembered to take an extremely blurry picture of. What else what I eat at 4am? So amazingly delicious.

This was the first time I stopped in at this deli, but I walk past it almost every day. They have all kinds of amazing looking sandwiches ready to be pressed. The salami and cheese looked great, and it tasted so as well. Salty salami and creamy cheese on a crusty grilled baguette. It was great, I will stop there again I think.

I didn’t think they could make descent Mexican food in Europe, but they do! Taste wise, this was the best meal I have eaten since I borded the plane in Chicago. The Mission is just like Chipotle, but the flavours are slightly different. I ordered the same thing I would get at Chipotle, and I think I like The Mission more. When the guy was done adding stuff to my burrito, he sort of massaged it all around, mixing everything together. What a good idea, someone should forward that to Chipotle. Good dinner.
