After a long rainy day spent inside doing absolutely nothing, we found our selves ravished between lunch and dinner;) Lounging around is hard work!
We had Spanish green olives and Nicoise black olives with pain de campagne and Comte cheese. Lets not forget to mention the lovely local Savoie wine- a slightly sweet, fruit forward wine with hints of apple and pear. Yum!
Snack #10
After a lovely and vigorous two hour mountain hike, we needed a snack. We had half a mini cantaloupe – again better than any we get in the US, like fruit concentrate- and a half piece of ham terrine en croute. As well as a small glass of aperitif Bonal, a local delicacy. It is a bitter-sweet herbal aperitif and I’m totally hooked. Yum! When’s dinner…? 🙂

I used to love these as a kid. Now they’re a bit too sweet for my taste, but I still like them- if only for nostalgia’s sake.

We had a quick snack before going to see Wicked in London! A “flapjack”- which I’ve decided is basically a granola bar (oats, nuts, fruits)and English tea. It was fast and fulfilling. Yum! P.S. sorry for no recent posts. Internet has been scarce, but I’m back:)

Yum!!!! Wow- the best onion rings EVER! Perfectly crispy. Amazing breading and sweet onions. Served with horseradish cream. Adam stopped me from ordering a second helping;) We’re at a great pub in London called The Blackfriar. Thanks for the great recommendation Greg!

I can’t get enough of these oaty, nobbly biscuits! So good. Crispy, sweet, salty perfection. The Titanic latte isn’t bad either;)
