After a wonderful day hiking and sightseeing, we went back home for Sunday family dinner with our host family! Maria made a delicious vegetable and chicken couscous. It was light and served at room temperature- perfect for a hot summer day. For dessert she served amazing fresh fruit dumplings with apricots and blackberries from her garden!! I really loved the dumplings. The dough was wrapped around the fresh fruit centers. It was mild and pleasantly chewy. They tasted similar to fruit pie. After dinner we went for a refreshing swim in the indoor pool. What a fun day!!!
