We have flown with many different airlines- Lufthansa is, by far, the best. Kind service. Comfortable, roomy seats. Complimentary beer and wine and snacks on one hour flights! Wish we had known we would get a free snack, we would have skipped the pretzel sandwich. I took the free sandwich, just to try it. It was surprisingly good- roasted zucchini, tomato, and eggplant with mozzarella. Too bad I already had a snack 😦
Airport snack
Not bad
Last breakfast in Dusseldorf
We’re headed to London today! We’ve had a busy morning packing and cleaning. We each had two nectarines and half an iced coffee for breakfast. Sorry I forgot a picture… I was busy thinking about everything else I have to do and I completely forgot
Cocktails over Dusseldorf
Our favorite German beer
Noodlehaus
Adam loves ramen, so we couldn’t miss Takumi Ramenhaus on our last day in Dusseldorf.
We started with pork dumplings- yum! Adam had pork and noodles in a meaty broth. I had beef, veggies, and noodles dipped in a rich miso broth. Adam loved everything. My dish fell a little flat- sweet and salty, but not tart or spicy. Not bad, but not my favorite.
Speckfast
Breakfast? Speckfast. I slowly crisped speck while fresh bread baked in the oven. I cut up some fresh fruit and mixed iced coffees. Speck is too salty for me, but Adam can’t get enough of it… We need to get home and back on the healthy eating bandwagon before we both have heart attacks! I had a couple small bites, but decided to shift my focus towards the fresh bread and butter instead 🙂 Adam was happy to relieve me of my piece.
Real food
TV time
Sunday in Germany + rain = nothing to do. All the shops are closed. Parks and walking are out. Day in watching TV and snacking? Of course!
We had chocolates, chips, wine, strawberries and raspberries. Not too bad. Forgot a picture though
