We caught a train to Bonn and enjoyed a tasty bite on the way- pretzel with butter and herbs. So yummy!

We’re heading to Bonn for the day. Quick breakfast then out the door!

After a great day sight seeing we spent a relaxing evening at home nibbling, enjoying awesome German wine, and playing cards. Fun night with fun friends!!!

We had a tasty lunch at a cute brasserie in Dusseldorf 🙂 Adam and I shared a Caesar salad and each had a bread bowl of potato soup. We finished the meal with delicious coffees- macchiato and cappuccino.

We just can’t pass up a fresh crepe! We had banana and Nutella wrapped in a hot and buttery crepe. Delicious! We also tried a new soda. It was odd, a mix of bubble gum and cream soda with a sweettart finish. Strange.

After a relaxing afternoon at home, we went for a walk into town. What a beautiful city! We had lunch at a Thai restaurant. It was good, very different than Thai in the US, but good.

We started with some ugly, but tasty appetizers- spring rolls, crispy shrimp, and chicken sate. I had the Thai red curry with vegetables and rice. It was pleasantly spicy and creamy. Adam had the pad se ew with vegetables and, surprise, chicken!!!

We slept in today 🙂 I made a late breakfast of toasted whole wheat ciabatta rubbed with garlic and spread with red bell pepper pesto and topped with a juicy fried egg. I served it with a fruit salad of strawberries, blueberries, and peaches. Tasty 🙂

We took the train to Cologne to meet-up with one of our students who is from Germany- Sascha.

We had ButterKuchen and a beer on the way. The cake was surprisingly delicious- light, buttery, a touch of almond, and crispy turbinado sugar on top!

My Phone is WORKING!!!!! It’s a Christmas miracle!!!! 🙂 Also, I had a croissant sandwich with prosciutto, herb cream cheese, lettuce, onion, cucumber, and sprouts along with a peach and some tomatoes.
